A Filipino expat ended his life in Kuwait’s Amiri Hospital after learning that he had tested positive for coronavirus.
As per Arab Times, sources stated that the man went missing from his hospital room, after which he was found in a toilet at the hospital, where he had committed suicide using a phone charger cord.
He is said to have been depressed after being terminated from his job. He was working in an Abu-Dhabi based company which had sent him to Kuwait on a project but was stranded in Kuwait as commercial flights were suspended and a public holiday announced on March 12.
He is said to have been on medication for Addison’s disease, a long-term endocrine disorder.
