Kuwait instructs airlines to reimburse travellers

Kuwait’s civil aviation authorities have instructed all airlines and travel agencies in the country to reimburse money paid for flights cancelled last month due to a temporary halt of air travel with the outside world.

Kuwait suspended international flights from December 21 till January 1 as a precaution to prevent the spread of a new strain of COVID-19.

The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) said in a circular that passengers have the right to request refunding the value of travel tickets and hotel reservations as well as other travel services that were revoked from December 21 till January 1 regardless of the booking conditions.
