Kuwait pipeline fire halts petroleum coke exports; no injuries reported

Petroleum coke exports were temporarily halted after a limited fire broke out in a pipeline in the Al-Shuaiba industrial zone, The Kuwait National Petroleum Company said on Friday.

The company added that the fire has been brought under control, and no injuries were reported.

The fire occurred at a petroleum coke flowline. The coal-like substance is a byproduct of refined crude oil that is used in the steel and aluminum industry.
