Kuwait Plans to Terminate Over 100 Expats in Education Ministry

The Ministry of Education (MoE) will terminate 101 expats from their positions in administration of a number of sectors in early July as per the procedures of the Kuwaitization policy of government jobs, reported a local daily.

A list of expatriate employees was asked to be submitted that were eligible for the replacement policy according to the figures from the Civil Service Commission (CSC).  The Administrative Sector is now finalizing the list of the 101 expat employees who will have their contracts frozen from the ministry’s budget for fiscal 2020/2021 effective July 1. This will be done in coordination with the Ministry of Finance.

The expats in the Ministry of Education for this year are assigned in engineering, financial, educational, legal research, information systems, literature and information, and administrative support jobs.
