The Kuwaiti government has officially announced the revocation of citizenship for seven women, with the Official Gazette (Al-Kuwait Al-Youm) newspaper publishing the Supreme Committee for the Investigation of Kuwaiti Nationality‘s decisions in an official supplement.
According to the publication, three decrees were issued. The first decree revoked the citizenship of one woman under Article 9 of Amiri Decree No. 15 of 1959 concerning the Nationality Law and its amendments. The second decree removed citizenship from four women under Article 10 of the same law, while the third decree impacted two women under Article 11.
