Kuwait suspended all flights to and from Egypt, Lebanon, Syria, Bangladesh, Philippines, India, and Sri Lanka for a week starting on Saturday, Kuwait’s civil aviation directorate said in a tweet.

The measures will take effect immediately and will last “until one week.”

Kuwait said it was also banning the arrival of all expats who had been to the 7 countries in the last two weeks as a preventive measure against COVID-19, the disease caused by the 2019 novel coronavirus.
