Kuwait to sack expat employees at Ministry of Education
Expat employees working in the Kuwaiti Ministry of Education will be terminated and replaced with Kuwaitis, local media reported.
The ministry said it will receive next December a list of jobs covered by the plan to replace expatriate workers with Kuwaitis for fiscal year 2020/2021, Al Rai daily reported quoting a source from the education sector.
The source revealed that the replacement process will most likely include some members of the educational staff, particularly those specialised in fields in which the number of employees is excessive.
The source went on to say the implementation of the decision to promote employees based on seniority will be at the beginning of January next year while the promotion by selection will be implemented on March 31, 2021.
