Kuwait to Start Vehicle Registration Renewal from Sunday

The Ministry of Interior (MoI) announced today that vehicle registration will start from Sunday during the week from 8 am to 4 pm at the General Traffic Department. Owners who want to renew their vehicles insurance which has expired from 12 March, 2020 till date will only be allowed to do so.

This also only for those vehicles that have the required insurance papers, and were allowed to be exempt from technical examination as the department’s activities was suspended. The renewal is optional for those who are interested and choosing not to will not invite any fines.  All Kuwaitis and expats are requested to abide by the health precautions of social distancing, and face masks, and gloves.
