Lebanese health authorities detected one case of the new COVID-19 strain on a UK flight that arrived here on December 21, Acting Health Minister Hamad Hassan said in a tweet today.
“The first case of the new coronavirus type was recorded in a passenger of Flight ME [Middle East Airlines] 202, who arrived from London on December 21,” the minister tweeted.
He called on passengers arriving from the UK, especially those on Flight ME 202, to comply with preventative measures in force in the country.
