Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s Netflix docuseries ‘smells of desperation’

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are “gambling” as their upcoming Netflix docuseries “smelling of desperation”, a royal author has claimed.

The pair stepped down from their roles as senior royals in 2020 before moving to the US to live.

They have since sat down for a wide-ranging interview with Oprah Winfrey where they made an allegation of racism against an unnamed member of the Royal Family.

Meghan had her Pearl documentary dropped by Netflix earlier this year, but the pair are now reportedly filming an “at home with the Sussexes” docuseries for the streaming giant instead.

And royal author Duncan Larcombe says the pair’s actions to welcome cameras into their lives are contradictory and desperate.

Mr Larcombe said: “How can a couple that are so fiercely protective of their privacy open their doors up to Netflix for a docuseries?

“The contradictions are enormous.

Speaking specifically on the Netflix docuseries, Mr Larcombe added: “It’s a really big gamble because if it doesn’t work, then there won’t be more million-pound offers.”
