Oman’s SalamAir Suspends Flights to India From Oct 1

SalamAir, the Oman-based low-cost airline, has suspended its services to India from October 1.

The airline, which currently operates services to four cities in India, including Jaipur, Lucknow, Kozhikode and Thiruvananthapuram, has stopped issuing tickets on its website, according to media reports.

The airline’s connections from Fujairah Airport to Jaipur, Lucknow, and Thiruvananthapuram will also be affected by the flight suspension, the airline’s contact centre in Dubai said.

Passengers have reportedly received an email stating that they would “receive the refund for their bookings”.

The reason cited for this decision was the limitation of flight rights allocation to India.
