Saudi Arabia starts biometrics self-registration for Kuwaiti Umrah pilgrims

The first phase of the biometrics self-registration of Hajj and Umrah pilgrims will start being implemented for Kuwaitis, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs for Consular Affairs Ambassador said.

The procedure will also be available to citizens of Tunisia, Malaysia, UK, and Bangladesh.

Those who want to get Umrah visas issued electronically need not go personally to any embassies or police stations to register their biometrics. They can register their biometrics through the designated app on their smart phones, and complete the procedures electronically, he said.

The biometrics includes fingerprints, eyes and face, and other vital features.

The biometrics matching process will be carried out at the time of the pilgrims’ arrival. The self-registration of biometrics service will be implemented through the Saudi Company for Visa and Travel Solutions.
