The nationalisation of jobs in the UAE accelerated by 200% in 2018, the country’s Vice President and Prime Minister and Dubai’s Ruler Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum has revealed.
“The UAE government will leave no Emirati behind as it continues its efforts to support its citizens this year.” This was the pledge made by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, on Tuesday during a Cabinet meeting.
The information was disclosed following a cabinet meeting on Tuesday.
Taking to Twitter, Sheikh Mohammed said: “Today I presided over a cabinet meeting in which we reviewed the outcome of 2018 and the plan for 2019.
“The localisation of jobs accelerated by 200% in 2018, and we want to double the effort in 2019.
“We also launched policies for families, women, youth and senior citizens in 2018 and promise everyone that the citizen will remain the first, second and third priority in 2019 and in all years to come”, he added.
Sheikh Mohammed also tweeted a photo of himself cutting a large cake during a celebration held by the cabinet ministers to honour Sheikh Mohammed’s 50 years of government service.
