Oman won 2-1 against Qatar in the Gulf Cup 26 Group A match. Qatar took the lead in the 2nd minute through Ali Abdullah, but Oman equalised with a 20th-minute penalty by Issam Al-Sobhi and scored again in the 52nd minute.
Oman, with 4 points, now tops the group after drawing 1-1 with Kuwait in their opening match. Qatar, with 1 point, had drawn 1-1 with the UAE in their first game.
Oman will face the UAE in the final round, while Qatar plays Kuwait.
