Oman: High temperatures expected over weekend

Temperatures in Oman will reach the high thirties on Friday and Saturday in the coastal areas of the Oman Sea as well as in desert areas. This will be followed by a relative decrease in temperatures to below 30°C on Sunday, Oman Meteorology said on Thursday.

Oman Meteorology issued the weather summary for the next 3 days:

“Opportunities for surface wind activity on Saturday, March 13th, will cause dust and dirt in parts of the governorates of Muscat, South Al Sharqiyah, Al Dhahirah, Al Buraimi, and Dhofar.”

“A gradual rise of sea waves on the coasts of Musandam Governorate and the Sea of Oman is expected, starting from Friday evening, reaching a maximum height of 2.5 metres on Saturday (medium – rough),” the statement added.
