Oman Issues Food Safety Warning Against This Coffee Product
The Sultanate of Oman’s Food Safety and Quality Centre (FSQC) has reported receiving a warning that some Starbucks’ frappuccino cold coffee with vanilla flavour, may be contaminated with foreign materials.
FSQC announced that PepsiCo, the distributor of Starbucks Frappuccino cold coffee with vanilla flavor, recalled the product due to the presence of foreign materials (glass pieces).
The centre stated that the aforementioned product, according to the data, was distributed in the American markets, and in the interest of consumer health and safety. The Centre took everything necessary to stop its import at the border crossings, stressing that it is working to ensure that the local markets are free of affected products, if any, in coordination with the concerned authorities.
The centre advises all consumers to avoid consuming the specified product.
