Oman: Malls, some businesses, factories set to open tomorrow

Oman will reopen malls and some businesses and industrial activities on Wednesday, the state news agency said on Tuesday.

The businesses covered by the decision include real estate offices, travel agencies, maintenance businesses and dry cleaners. A social distancing of at least two meters must be maintained by customers, the agency said.

The Ministry of Municipalities and Regional Resources announced the reopening of the fourth package of commercial and industrial activities that will start operating on Wednesday, 24th June 2020, as follows:

1. Malls and commercial centres
2. Fish markets in Muttrah, Seeb, Sohar, Suwaiq, Qurraiyat, Ibri and Al Ashkharah.
3. Selling fabrics and textiles.
4. Sale of dyes and polishing materials.
5. Sale and repair of conventional weapons.
6. Manpower-attracting offices.
7. Cameras and protection systems installation offices.
8. Plastic and paper waste sale stores.
9. Pottery trading.
10. Used spare parts stores.
11. Sale of doors and windows.
12. Kitchens and their tools fairs.
13. Companies and offices selling and maintaining escalators elevators.
14. Construction contracting offices.
15. Sale of accessories and artificial ornaments.
16. Trade of blankets and sheets.
17. Sale of wooden and iron boxes.
18. Shops and factories selling charcoal and fuelwood.
19. Sale of iron and aluminum products.
20. Real estate brokerage office.
21. Upholstery of furniture.
22. Sale of blacksmith and aluminum accessories.
23. Sale of audiotapes.
24. Building cleaning offices.
25. Rental and sale of dresses.
26. Metal turning shops.
27. Ice factories.
