Oman: No entry to public beaches for hotel guests

The Ministry of Heritage of Tourism has called on hotel establishments not to allow their guests to use public beaches and to be satisfied with private beaches, and to limit the entry to cafes and gyms to 50 per cent of capacity.

In a notice issued today, the Ministry said: “Please refer to decisions of the Supreme Committee on preventing gatherings of all kinds, closing beaches, and reducing the entry numbers for some activities.”

“The Ministry would like to draw the attention of hotel administrations to not allow guests to use public beaches and to use the hotel private beaches if available, and to reduce the entry rate of visitors to restaurants, cafes and closed space gyms to 50 per cent of their capacity from this date until further notice, in order to avoid legal accountability.”
