Oman has been chosen as one of the world’s top tourist destinations for 2019. In a report published in UK’s Financial Times newspaper, Oman was chosen as one of the must-see destinations by a panel comprising top travel and tourism experts in the world.
It added that the new Muscat International Airport opened on March 20 at a time when the number of passengers and flights to Muscat were increasing.
The report stated that Al Bustan Palace hotel has reopened after an extensive 18-month renovation, as well as the Royal Opera House Muscat will undergo extensive renovation in January.
The report stated that Salalah in the south has many landscapes and hotels that make it an ideal destination for safari tourism. “Oman, in general, has an excellent tourism infrastructure.”
Other destinations in the list are Cambodia, Faroe Islands, Rwanda, Eritrea, Tajikistan, Belize and Italy.
