Oman raids restaurants and destroys stale food

Muscat Municipality raided 32 restaurants and cafes, and destroyed 24 kgs of stale food in the Wilayat of Muttrah on Thursday.

A statement issued online by Muscat Municipality said :”An inspection campaign carried out by the Food Control Department in Muscat Municipality in Muttrah, targeting 32 restaurants and cafes. The campaign resulted in the violation of two shops, and the destruction of 24 kg of the stale food, with the confiscation of products unfit for cooking. “
