Oman has just registered its first two cases of the Omicron COVID-19 variant. The two have tested positive after returning to the Sultanate from travel abroad.

Their condition is stable, according to the Ministry, and they are being subjected to further epidemiological investigations.

The Ministry called upon everyone to fully abide by preventive measures, such as wearing a mask, maintaining social distancing, avoiding crowded places, and maintaining clean hands.

It also called upon all those aged 18 years and above to take the initiative to receive the COVID-19 booster dose available in primary care institutions.
