Oman: Residents abroad may return with approval

Stranded residents can come back to Oman if they get approval from Oman Embassy in that country, according to the confirmation received by Times of Oman.

Recently, a large number of expats and students who were stuck in various parts of the world returned to Oman in special flights. “I will advise everyone who is stranded outside Oman to get in touch with Oman Embassy in that country,” the official said.

Hundreds of residents are stranded outside the country after airports were closed following the coronavirus outbreak.

Meanwhile, the Supreme Committee on Tuesday allowed Omanis to travel abroad provided they strictly follow the precautionary measures.
