Saudi: Medina hospital shut for violating COVID-19 protocols

Health authorities have closed down a private hospital in the Saudi city of Medina after the facility committed violations of rules in place to curb the spread of the coronavirus, a local newspaper reported Thursday.

The infringements are related to implementation of preventive measures in addition to other technical and administrative breaches monitored at the hospital, health spokesman in Medina Mouayed Abu Unoq said, according to Okaz newspaper without details.

“The Health Ministry stresses the importance of abiding by its instructions issued to all health institutions to protect health and safety of everyone,” he added.

Saudi health authorities Thursday confirmed 311 new virus cases and 15 deaths, bringing the tally of infections in the kingdom to 352,160 and fatalities to 5,605.
