The Bahrain Open Jiu-Jitsu Championship 2025, organised by the Bahrain Jiu-Jitsu Federation under the supervision of the Bahrain Combat Sports Council, concluded with 109 athletes from 17 nationalities representing 14 academies.

Rida Martial Arts Centre topped the team rankings with 21 medals, including 10 gold, 7 silver, and 4 bronze. Elements secured second place with 19 medals, winning 7 gold, 7 silver, and 5 bronze.

UFC Bahrain finished third with 8 medals, including 2 gold, 4 silver, and 2 bronze. Victory Jiu-Jitsu placed fourth with 5 medals, earning 3 gold, 1 silver, and 1 bronze. UAE Police secured fifth place with 2 gold medals.

In the youth white belt category, Aseel Al Mutawa from Elements won the under-62kg division, with Makai Channing from Rida Martial Arts Centre finishing second. Omar Khonji from Reza’s Martial Arts Centre claimed first place in the under-69kg category, followed by Ahmed Aseeri from Elements in second place and Mohamed Rafie from Reza’s Martial Arts Centre in third.

In the over-69kg division, Ali Al Wazir from Reza’s Martial Arts Centre won first place, with Abdullah Al Afoo from Haas Jiu-Jitsu in second and Faisal Al Madani from Reza’sMartial Arts Centre in third.

In the youth coloured belts category, Samuel Ambrosio from Reza’s Martial Arts Centre won the under-69kg division, with Asr Hassan and Zaki Babiker, both from Reza’sMartial Arts Centre, taking second and third place, respectively.

In the over-69kg division, Pedro Pacey from Reza’s Martial Arts Centre won first place, while Daniel Baku from Elements finished second.

In the women’s white belt under-65kg category, Alexandrine Kasim from UFC Bahrain won first place, followed by her teammate Jyoti Singh in second.

In the blue and purple belt category, Alaa Saleh from Gracie Jiu Jitsu Bahrain secured first place, with Khadija Al Qaidoom from Gracie Jiu Jitsu Bahrain finishing second.

In the men’s white belt under-62kg category, Hassan Ali from Victory Jiu-Jitsu won first place, followed by Ali Abdulraouf from Reza’s Martial Arts Centre in second and Bryant Nylon from Elements in third.

Hassan Radhi from Victory Jiu-Jitsu secured first place in the under-69kg category, with Jassim Al Sabea from Endure Jiu-Jitsu in second and Ahmed Hisham from Reza’s Martial Arts Centre in third.

Jawad Ali from Victory Jiu-Jitsu won first place in the under-77kg category, while Talal Abdulmajeed from Elements secured second and Joseph Stadfer finished third.

Mohamed Janahi from UFC Bahrain won first place in the under-85kg white belt category, with Elias Hajir from UFC Bahrain in second and David Robinson from Gracie in third.

Mohamed Abbas from Reza’s Martial Arts Centre won first place in the under-94kg division, with Hussein Al Sahlawi from Victory Jiu-Jitsu securing second and Ahmed Asadullah from UFC Bahrain taking third.

Saeed Al Balooshi from UAE Police claimed first place in the over-94kg category, followed by Rashid Masoud from Reza’s Martial Arts Centre in second and Benjamin Eastman from House of Athletes in third.

In the men’s blue belt under-62kg category, Abdullah Al Shaikh from Elements won first place, while his teammates Ahmed Al Bannai and Sayed Adnan secured second and third, respectively.

Abdulrahman Al Mashwar from Elements won first place in the under-69kg category, followed by Salman Al Samahiji from Elements in second.

Hassan Osama from Reza’s Martial Arts Centre claimed first place in the under-77kg blue belt division, while Jordan Silva from NSI Jiu-Jitsu finished second and Luqman Abdullah from Elements secured third.

Mohamed Karimi from Reza’s Martial Arts Centre won first place in the under-85kg category, with his teammate Nasser Al Showaikh in second and Abdulaziz Al Khaldi from Endure Jiu-Jitsu in third.

Pedro Bisi de Jesus from Reza’s Martial Arts Centre won the under-94kg division, with Eyad Al Balooshi from UFC Bahrain finishing second and Mohamed Mandil from Elements in third.

Mohamed Al Shami from Reza’s Martial Arts Centre won first place in the over-94kg blue belt category, with Salman Sabah from Reza’s Martial Arts Centre in second and Joseph Pezor from House of Athletes in third.

In the men’s purple belt under-77kg category, Abdullah Al Hashimi from UAE Police won first place, followed by Joey Doyle from UFC Bahrain in second and Firas Salman from Victory Jiu-Jitsu in third.

Nicholas Martin from Elements secured first place in the over-94kg category, with Mohamed Qabbani from Elements in second.

In the brown belt under-85kg category, Mohamed Al Najjar from Elements won first place, followed by Mahmoud Al Najjar from Elements in second and Salman Khalfan from Elements in third.

Khalid Faraj from Rida Martial Arts Centre won first place in the over-94kg brown belt division, with Blake Mann from McCleary Jiu-Jitsu finishing second.

In the men’s black belt divisions, Vadzim Baku from Elements won the under-85kg category. Dante Kano from Elements won first place in the under-94kg division, followed by Bruno Moreira from House of Athletes in second and Rodrigo Andrade from UFC Bahrain in third.

At the conclusion of the championship, Bahrain Combat Sports Council member and Bahrain Jiu-Jitsu Federation President, Redha Ibrahim Monfaredi, along with Vice President Ahmed Mohamed Janahi, awarded the winners.

Monfaredi expressed gratitude to Shaikh Salman bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, Vice President of the General Sports Authority and President of the Bahrain Combat Sports Council, for his continued support of national sports federations.

He commended the efforts of the organising committees and affirmed that the event was a step towards further promoting and developing jiu-jitsu in Bahrain.

He congratulated the winners and wished all participants success in future competitions.
