UAE Releases Over 3,440 Prisoners Ahead of National Day 2023

The UAE has released more than 3,440 prisoners ahead of National Day 2023. Rulers of the emirates issued instructions to release prisoners from correctional facilities in the country.

Abu Dhabi and Dubai released 1,018 and 1,249 prisoners respectively.

President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has directed the release of 1,018 inmates from correctional institutions in the UAE on the occasion of the country’s 52nd Union Day celebrations. The relevant authorities have begun the necessary procedures to ensure that those subject to the pardon can return to their families as soon as possible.

Meanwhile, Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and the Ruler of Dubai, has ordered the release of 1,249 prisoners of different nationalities from the correctional and punitive establishments in the emirate, ahead of the country’s 52nd Union Day.

Sheikh Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, has pardoned 475 prisoners from Punitive and Correctional Institution in Sharjah ahead of the 52nd Union Day.

Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, has directed the release of 442 prisoners from Punitive and Correctional Institution in Ras Al Khaimah ahead of the 52nd Union Day.

Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ajman, has ordered the release of 143 prisoners from punitive and correctional institutions in Ajman ahead of the 52nd Union Day.

Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Fujairah, pardoned 113 prisoners from Punitive and Correctional Institution in Fujairah ahead of the 52nd Union Day.
