Qatar reports 157 new coronavirus cases and 140 recoveries

The Ministry of Public Health today announced the detection of 157 new coronavirus cases, bringing the total number of infections in Qatar to 142,605.

No new fatalities were reported over the past 24 hours, keeping fatality tally at 243.

According to the ministry’s latest update, a further 140 patients have fully recovered, pushing the total number of people recovered from the virus across the country to 140,404.

Active cases have now touched 1,958, including 225 that are stable under treatment, and 20 are critical under intensive care.
