The new Porsche 911 Turbo S has arrived, and it’s the most powerful production 911 ever built. With groundbreaking T-Hybrid technology and stunning performance figures, this latest flagship raises the bar once again for what a 911 can achieve.

Available as both coupé and cabriolet, the new Turbo S combines blistering pace with everyday usability. Frank Moser, Vice President of the 911 and 718 model line, calls it “the most complete and versatile form of driving a Porsche 911.”

Revolutionary T-Hybrid Powertrain

At the heart of the new Turbo S lies an innovative twin-turbo T-Hybrid system producing 523 kW (711 PS) and 800 Nm of torque. That’s 61 PS more than its predecessor, making this the most powerful 911 to date.

The system uses two electric exhaust gas turbochargers (eTurbos) instead of the single unit found in the 911 Carrera GTS. These specially designed turbos boost both power and responsiveness. A lightweight 1.9 kWh battery powers the 400V system, while an eight-speed PDK with integrated electric motor sends power to all four wheels via Porsche Traction Management.

Performance figures are staggering. The Turbo S coupé rockets from 0-100 km/h in just 2.5 seconds (0.2 seconds faster than before) and hits 200 km/h in 8.4 seconds. Top speed reaches 322 km/h.

Despite carrying 85 kg more weight due to hybrid components, the new car is dramatically faster on track. At the Nürburgring Nordschleife, it lapped in 7:03.92 minutes, a massive 14 seconds quicker than its predecessor.

Track-Ready Engineering

Porsche has upgraded every system to handle the extra performance. The rear axle now runs 325/30 ZR 21 tyres (10mm wider than before), while the front keeps 255/35 ZR 20 rubber. The standard Porsche Ceramic Composite Brake system features the largest discs ever fitted to a two-door Porsche: 420mm front and 410mm rear.

Active aerodynamics work intelligently to reduce drag by 10% or increase downforce as needed. Cooling air flaps and an active front diffuser team up with the adjustable spoiler and rear wing to optimise airflow.

The electro-hydraulic Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control (ehPDCC) comes standard, using the hybrid’s 400V system for faster response. This reduces body roll and improves agility while maintaining comfort for daily driving.

Visual changes include the new Turbonite colour accents exclusive to Turbo models. The wider body gets redesigned rear ventilation openings, while titanium exhaust pipes save 6.8 kg. Inside, Turbonite details appear throughout, from seat belts to dashboard trim.

Standard equipment includes HD Matrix LED headlights, Sport Chrono Package, PASM suspension, and 18-way Sports Seats Plus. The coupé comes as a two-seater, with rear seats available at no cost.

Luxury and Personalisation

Sound engineering deserves special mention too. The new titanium sports exhaust system creates a soundtrack specifically composed for the Turbo S. Internal engine modifications include asymmetrical timing that adds extra frequencies to the 3.6-litre boxer engine, creating that distinctive throaty growl that makes every journey memorable.

The interior showcases Porsche’s attention to detail. Carbon-structured trim strips with neodyme accents and a perforated microfibre headliner create an exclusive atmosphere. Turbo S-specific embossing on seats and door panels pays homage to the original 911 Turbo 930, connecting past and present. Further customisation options are available via the Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur range.

For those wanting even more exclusivity, options include lightweight carbon wiper arms (50% lighter than standard), carbon fibre roof panels, and exclusive design elements throughout. The Paint to Sample programme offers over 100 exterior colours, ensuring no two cars need to look alike.

Porsche has even created a matching timepiece through their Design Configurator, allowing owners to wear a “sports car for the wrist” that perfectly matches their Turbo S, complete with Turbonite design elements.

The 911 Turbo S continues its tradition of being the ultimate everyday supercar, now with hybrid assistance, making it faster, more efficient, and more desirable than ever before.
