Interview with Mr. Pappan (K.N Padmanabhan) Founder of Al Tawfeek Maintenance & Services By Dhanyasree M
Al Tawfeek Maintenance & Services started its operations with the commitment for a cleaner and healthier environment in the Kingdom. As they complete three decades of commendable services in the Kingdom, the Founder, Mr. Krishnan Nair Padmanabhan, fondly called as Pappan illustrates their unique journey.
Al Tawfeek Maintenance & Services is one of the pioneers in waste management solutions in the Kingdom. How was the origin of the concept?
I came to the Kingdom in 1976, and after a decade of experience in different industries, I decided to start a business of my own. I combined my business plans with a social commitment and thus was the origin of Al Tawfeek Maintenance and services.
Sewage system and garbage disposal services were not in good hands during those days. There were heaps of garbage near the TV station and the sewage system was in bad condition. I explained my ideas to Mr. Ahmed Mohammed Al Jaber and together we started the company with a dream for a cleaner Kingdom. I started with one vehicle and now, we have a fleet of vehicles and equipment such as jetting, sewage and skips.
What distinguishes the company from the competitors in the Kingdom?
We have many competitors in this field now. However, we are one of the reliable companies in the Kingdom providing prompt and efficient services to the clients for the past three decades.
Al Tawfeek Maintenance & Services has completed three decades in the industry. Who are your greatest supporters?
I would say the entire Kingdom-Ministries, Semi Government offices and all the private organizations have valued and supported us through our journey. Our specialised housekeeping and cleaning staff are much sought after and recommended by our domestic customers.
We appreciate their support and promise them that we will continue to offer our high quality services as ever.
What are the future plans for the company?
We constantly learn and improve our methods. As of now, I aim to establish a complete cleaning system in Bahrain in accordance to the international standards without compromising on the quality.
