Bahrain: Police Arrest Three With Narcotics Worth BD100,000
Police yesterday arrested three men, aged between 27 and 40, with narcotic substances with a market value exceeding 100,000 Bahraini dinars. The General Directorate of Investigation and Criminal Evidence’s Anti-Narcotics Department said the suspects are all Asian nationals.
A tip-off received saying men are selling illegal substances in the Kingdom led to the investigation and arrest. Officials at the anti-Narcotics Department said they opened an investigation soon after receiving the alert, leading to the identification and apprehension of the suspects with the illicit substances.
The narcotics were confiscated and referred the case to the Public Prosecution. Furthermore, the Drug Control Department emphasises the importance of community partnership in combatting drug abuse and urges citizens and residents to report any complaints or information related to drug control through the hotline (996) at any time, with complete confidentiality guaranteed.
