Bahrain Announces Two New Coronavirus Deaths

The Ministry of Health announces the death of a 48-year-old Bahraini female and a 60-year-old male expatriate. Both were registered active cases of coronavirus and suffered from underlying and chronic health problems.

The Ministry of Health expresses its heartfelt condolences to the families of these individuals at this difficult time.

The patients, along with all other active cases, had been placed in isolation and received extensive 24-hour treatment from a specialised medical team.

Out of 8916 COVID-19 tests carried out on 11 June 2020, 600 new cases have been detected among 347 expatriate workers, 249 new cases are contacts of active cases, and 4 are travel related. There were 414 recoveries, increasing total recoveries to 11903.

There are currently 137 cases receiving treatment, of which 10 are in a critical condition. 5320 cases are stable out of a total of 5330 active cases
