Saudi: Health Compliance Inspection Visits Tightened

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is inspecting businesses to ensure their compliance with measures aimed at combating COVID-19.

The penalty for violating precautionary measures is SR10,000 ($2,666). Fines will be doubled if the violations reoccur and the facility will be closed for three months.

If the violations occur again, the penalty is doubled and the facility will be closed for six months, and its owners referred to the Public Prosecutor’s office.

The Ministry of Commerce and Investment, in cooperation with the Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs, carried out the visits.
