Qatar reports 271 new coronavirus cases, 1 death

The Qatar health ministry on Sunday reported 271 new cases of the Covid-19 coronavirus, along with 289 recoveries.

One new death was also reported.

This takes the total number of recoveries in the country to 111,794 and deaths to 193.

There are 3,093 active cases in the country, of which 447 are under acute hospital care, the ministry said.

Nearly 5,000 people were tested for Covid-19 over the last 24 hours, taking the total number of people tested to 551,273.
