Qatar Reports 982 New Coronavirus Cases

Ministry of Public Health recorded 982 confirmed new cases of coronavirus (COVID-19), with 1394 people having recovered from the virus in the last 24 hours.

The Ministry announces the introduction of 9 cases to intensive care due to health complications resulting from infection with the virus, bringing the total number of cases currently receiving medical care in intensive care to 200.

The new confirmed cases have completely isolated in the various medical facilities in the country, where they are receiving the necessary health care according to the health status of each case.

The Ministry indicates that the number of daily infections among citizens and residents (other than expatriate workers) has increased compared to what it was in May, despite the overall decrease in the total daily infections in Qatar.

With the start of the second phase of the gradual lifting of the restrictions imposed due to the COVID-19 pandemic starting Wednesday, July 1, 2020, the Ministry of Public Health reaffirms the importance of applying the requirements of the new phase and respecting all the conditions related to it.
