For residents looking to enjoy their Sunday outdoors, there is good news as rains have already hit some parts of the UAE on February 8.

Visuals shared by Storm Centre show rainfall in areas of Ras Al Khaimah, leading to gushing waterfalls at the foot of Jebel Jais, along with thunder.

Temperatures at the mountain range are expected to drop to a low of 10ºC and rise to a high of 15ºC. Meanwhile, overall temperatures in Ras Al Khaimah are expected to see a high of 28ºC and low of 18ºC.

The rain is also accompanied by fog in some areas. The Abu Dhabi police called on motorists to exercise caution due to reduced visibility during the fog. Drivers have been urged to follow changing speed limits displayed on electronic information boards.

Weather conditions otherwise today are expected to be partly cloudy today. It will be humid by night and Monday morning with a probability of mist formation over some coastal areas. Light to moderate Southwesterly to Northwesterly winds will blow, freshening at times, with a speed of 10–25kmph, reaching 40 kmph.

Temperatures will dip to 20°C in Abu Dhabi and 19°C in Dubai, and reach up to 28°C in both emirates. Meanwhile, Sharjah will see a high of 28ºC and low of 18ºC.

The sea will be slight to moderate, becoming rough at times northward in the Arabian Gulf and in the Oman Sea.
