A new Human Rights Office has been opened at the Expat Protection Centre in Sehla. The National Institution for Human Rights (NIHR) will run the office that will register complaints from expatriates and provide guidance services. Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA) and National Committee for Combating Trafficking in Persons Head Ausamah Al Absi said that an NIHR staff will be present to assist foreign workers. IHR acting Secretary General, Dr. Khalifa Al Fadhel said they plan to open similar offices in other governorates as part of its outreach programme covering foreign workers in Bahrain.
