Rolls-Royce achieves record car sales in 2021

Luxury carmaker Rolls-Royce saw global sales soar 49% to a record high in 2021, despite the COVID-19 pandemic causing production surplus for manufacturers across the automotive industry.
The BMW-owned company sold 5,586 cars in over 50 countries, the highest figure in the company’s 117-year history, making the brand the “undisputed leader in the €250,000-plus segment”.
Rolls-Royce chief executive Torsten Müller-Ötvös described 2021 as a “phenomenal year” for the company.
Its pre-owned programme also achieved record high sales in 2021, while its bespoke commissions remain at record levels.
Based at Goodwood in West Sussex, Rolls-Royce is continuing to develop its first pure electric car, Spectre, which is scheduled to be released in the final three months of 2023.
