Saudi: 24-Hour Lockdown Announced In Two Districts

Saudi Arabia announces the two districts of Al-Faisaliah, Al-Fadhliyah in the Al-Ihsa governorate have been placed in total lockdown, with a total ban on entering or exiting both areas until further notice, according to a report on the Saudi Press Agency.

The source stated that the 24-hour lockdown was put in place in these two districts in light of the health recommendations submitted by the concerned authorities to strengthen precautionary measures to limit the spread of the novel coronavirus in the Kingdom, and to preserve the health and safety of citizens and residents.

Saudi Arabia has confirmed a further 1,132 coronavirus cases in the kingdom, with five more deaths announced on Saturday. It takes the total number of infections up to 8,274, while the death toll at the hands of COVID-19 is currently 92.

According to the Saudi Ministry of Health, 280 newly recovered cases were recorded, meaning 1,329 people altogether have rid themselves of the virus.
