Saudi: 61% of university, school students vaccinated against COVID-19

The Ministry of Education (MoE) revealed that the rate of immunization among students of public schools and universities across Saudi Arabia reached 61% while the rate of vaccination among faculty and staff rose to 92%.

As part of the measures taken to ensure the safe return of students to schools and universities on Aug 29, the MoE and Ministry of Health (MoH) have called on all students aged 12 and above to get the first dose of a COVID-19 vaccine before Aug 8.

In a tweet, the MoH stated that the appointment dates for the first dose for students in the age group 12-18 have been booked in advance and they can now enter the Sehhaty or Tawakkalna app for more details.
