The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has announced a four-day holiday for private sector employees for both Eid Al Fitr and Eid Al Adha.

Employees in Saudi Arabia’s private sector are entitled to a 4-day holiday for Eid Al Fitr and Eid Al Adha, announced the country’s Ministry of Labour and Social Development on its Twitter account.

The authority said Sunday that the move is part of an awareness campaign revolving around the rights of private sector employees’ official holidays.

For the Eid Al-Fitr holidays, June 2 is expected to be the last working day, while the Eid Al-Adha holiday will begin from the Day of Arafat, which is expected to take place in the evening of August 10.

Moreover, if National Day falls on a holiday, the day preceding or following it will also be given as a day off from work, the ministry said.

However, if it falls on one of the Eid days, it will not be compensated.
