Bahrain car dealership to pay BD30,000 as faulty airbags compensation

The High Administrative Court ordered a car dealership to pay BD30,000 to the heirs of a man who died after his car’s safety airbags malfunctioned due to a manufacturing defect. The deceased was involved in a car accident, and the bags popped out to save him, but it turned out they were the cause of his death:

This was confirmed in the forensic expert’s report, which was shared with his heirs, who immediately filed a compensation claim. During the investigation, it was discovered that the car dealership from whom the deceased purchased the vehicle phoned the victim to bring it in for a check-up, but didn’t properly explain to him the matter which was fatal.
