Saudi Arabia Confirms First Case of Coronavirus

Saudi Arabia on Monday announced its first case of the new coronavirus, the health ministry said, according to the state news agency.

The infected person had come from Iran through Bahrain, the report added.

At a news conference on Sunday, Abdelali said that a total of 2,200 hospital beds have been allotted to potential quarantine cases.

According to a report in the state-run Saudi Press Agency (SPA), 25 hospitals have been prepared to deal with coronavirus cases as part of wider precautionary measures that have included closing its borders to foreign Umrah pilgrims.
