Saudi Arabia intercepts armed drone targeting Abha airport

Saudi Arabia’s air defenses have intercepted and destroyed early Tuesday an explosive-laden drone launched by the Iran-backed Houthi militia toward Saudi Arabia’s Abha International Airport.

In a statement, the Coalition to Support Legitimacy in Yemen called the attempt of the Houthi militia to deliberately target the airport a war crime. The coalition said that shrapnel was scattered by the interception in the vicinity of the airport, without injuries or damage.
