Saudi Arabia extends validity of final exit visas until October 31

Saudi Arabia’s General Directorate of Passports (Jawazat) has extended the validity of final exit visas of expatriates in the Kingdom until Oct. 31, 2020 free of charge, Saudi Press Agency reported on Friday.

The move, which follows the approval of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman, seeks to support expatriates who are stranded in the Kingdom due to the suspension of international flights in the wake of the global outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic.

The extension, given by the finance minister, is part of continuous efforts undertaken by the Saudi government to deal with the effects and consequences of the pandemic while following precautionary and preventive measures that ensure the safety of citizens and residents.

Jawazat also pointed out that the extension of the validity of final exit visas has been done electronically in cooperation with the National Information Center through the automated system, adding it has so far extended the validity of as many as 28,884 final exit visas.
