Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Health recorded on Thursday 319 new coronavirus cases over the past 24 hours, marking the third-lowest single-day number in more than seven months since the outbreak of the pandemic in the Kingdom.

Nineteen more patients died from complications caused by the virus over the past 24 hours, the statement added. This brings the total number of confirmed infections in the Kingdom to 354,527 and virus-related fatalities to 5,729.

The ministry also reported 441 new recoveries over the past 24 hours, raising the total number of people free from the deadly virus to 341,956 with the recovery rate rising to 96.45 percent.

Riyadh recorded the highest number of daily infections with 50 cases followed by Makkah with 29, Madinah with 24, and Jeddah with 20 cases.
