Saudi Arabia records 379 new coronavirus cases, 23 deaths

Saudi Arabia’s daily tally of new COVID-19 cases fell to its lowest since April with 379 reported on Monday, according to a statement from the Ministry of Health.

The single-day death toll from complications caused by COVID-19 also dropped to 23, according to the ministry.

This brings the total confirmed number of confirmed infections in the Kingdom to 336,766 and virus-related fatalities to 4,898.

The ministry also reported 570 new recoveries over the past 24 hours, raising the total number of people free from the deadly virus to 322,055 with the recovery rate rising to 95.63 percent.

Of the new cases, Madinah recorded the highest number of cases with 82 infections followed by Hafouf with 31, Yanbu with 25, Makkah with 25, Riyadh with 24 and Dammam with 23. The remaining cases were detected in different cities and governorates across the Kingdom.

Active cases have also fallen below 1,000-mark, out of which 938 are critical.
