UK: COVID-19 Delta variant accounts for 99% of new cases
The COVID-19 Delta variant is dominating in UK cases, accounting for approximately 99% of new cases, according to a Public Health England (PHE) report on Friday.
According to initial findings, people who have been inoculated against COVID-19 may be able to transmit the Delta variant as easily as those who have not.
The observation comes after the latest PHE report, which showed that 55.1% of hospitalized cases of the Delta variant were unvaccinated, while 34.9% had received both doses of the vaccine.
