Saudi Arabia sees decrease in daily coronavirus cases

The daily number of coronavirus cases in the Kingdom dipped further as the health ministry recorded 3,139 infections during the last 24 hours. On Monday, there were 3,393 announced cases.

With Tuesday’s tally, the total number of confirmed cases in the Kingdom increased to 164,144. The ministry also reported 39 fatalities during the same period raising the virus-related deaths to 1,346. The total number of recoveries rose to 109,885 after 4,710 people recovered from the coronavirus, the ministry said.

Riyadh, which recorded the continuous highest number of cases last week, recorded 299 new infections in Tuesday. Jeddah reported 393 new cases.

There were 301 infections in Dammam, 277 in Makkah, 237 in Qatif, 178 in Al-Khobar, 165 in Dhahran, 156 in Madinah, 122 in Khamis Mushayt, 117 in Taif, 106 in Hail, 91 in Abha, and 70 in Najran.

The other new cases were detected in cities and provinces around the Kingdom, according to the ministry.
