Saudi Arabia to host Formula E race for fourth consecutive year

Diriyah will host the Formula E race for the fourth consecutive year, Minister of Sports and president of the Saudi Arabian Olympic Committee, Prince Abdulaziz Bin Turki Al-Faisal, announced on Friday.

The announcement came after the International Automobile Federation unveiled the schedule for the first and second rounds of the Formula E race for electric cars.

The two-day mega event will be held in the historic Saudi city of Diriyah near Riyadh, beginning on Jan. 28, 2022.

The federation also announced the preliminary calendar of the eighth edition of the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship.

According to the calendar for 2021-2022, there will be 16 races to be held in 12 cities spread over four continents.
