Three Pakistanis were arrested in Jeddah for selling 3.9 kilogrammes of methamphetamine, Saudi Arabia’s General Directorate of Narcotics Control said on Saturday.
An Indian resident was also arrested for distributing the substance, also known as Shabu, in the Eastern Province, and a Yemeni national and a Saudi citizen were arrested in Samtah Governorate in Jazan for selling amphetamine.
In Jazan’s Al-Arda district, border guard ground patrols arrested four Yemenis for attempting to smuggle 80 kilogrammes of khat. Border guards in the Asir region’s Al-Rabwa area arrested five Ethiopians for smuggling 70 kilogrammes of khat.
Authorities urged members of the public to report any information about drug smuggling or dealing by calling 911 in Makkah, Riyadh, and the Eastern regions, and 999 in the rest of the Kingdom.
