Saudi Causeway Reopening Rumors Denied
“The reopening of the King Fahad Causeway will be determined by the competent authorities to what they deem appropriate,” announced the King Fahad Causeway Authority (KFCA) on its official social media accounts.
The announcement came as the KFCA had to clarify inquiries and deny viral rumors that the causeway would be reopened soon for certain cases.
The KFCA stated that regarding the urgent cases, there would be an application that must be submitted through the official channels to both kingdoms.
It is noteworthy that Head of the Foreign Affairs, Defense and National Security Committee in the parliament, Mohammed Al-Sisi Al-Buainain, has recently predicted that the causeway might be open soon in a press announcement.
His prediction depended on the fact that most GCC countries have taken decisions to reduce precautionary measures taken to limit the spread of the COVID-19.
